Music Industry veteran Patrick Conseil served as Warner/Chappell Music’s Vice President of Creative & International (based in NYC) from 1990 to 2003. During his tenure at the company, he secured US releases for such artists as Billie Ray Martin, Amber, La Bouche, Captain Hollywood, Robert Miles and Dido, secured cuts with artists as diverse as Ricky Martin, Cher, Laura Pausini, Kylie Minogue and ‘N Sync, and scored worldwide top 10 hits with Jennifer Paige (”Crush”) and Republica (”Ready to Go”). His signings included superstar DJ Roger Sanchez and Moby. Moby’s album Play was certified platinum in twenty countries and received unprecedented licensing in television, movies and commercials.
In 2003, Conseil relocated to Miami Beach and ran creative for Latin music publisher Eman Enterprises. He secured cuts with Luis Fonsi, Ricky Martin, Ednita Nazario, Reik, Jennifer Lopez, and RBD. He helped A&R the first Spanish language album by French superstar Florent Pagny, which was released in 2009 by Universal with the album goint to #1 and certified triple-platinum in France.
From 2011 to 2015, Conseil was a creative consultant for Reservoir Media and Round Hill Music. He brought Reverb Music UK to Reservoir, who acquired the company in 2012, and Bob Di Piero’s ‘Love Monkey Music’ country catalogue to Round Hill. Conseil was named Sr. VP of Creative by Round Hill Music in 2016, where he signed writer/producer Morgan Taylor Reid (Joseph, Marshmello, American Authors, Matoma, Chromeo), Canadian pop star Shawn Hook, rock artist Cobi, UK based singer/songwriter Richard Walters and Danish writer / producer Rune Westberg (Deepend, Alvaro Soler, Colbie Caillat, Jordan Smith, Desi Valentine, Axelle Red, Prince Royce, Part Time Friends).
Among the many successful co-writes Conseil arranged while at Round Hill Music, the pairing of artist Sam Fischer with RHM Nashville writer/producer Jimmy Robbins resulted in “This City”, which has since accumulated one billion streams. Setting up American Authors with Morgan Taylor Reed resulted in “I wanna go out” being placed in The Lego Movie and a T-Mobile commercial. Having Schmarx & Savvy and Richard Walters work with Carly Paige resulted in electronic artist 3LAU cutting their song “Touch” and including it on the first NFT of its kind in early 2021.
Conseil left Round Hill in 2018 to focus on his own publishing company, Pure Pop Music, and is a creative consultant for Angry Mob Music and PEN Music group. Angry Mob Music and Pure Pop jointly signed Rune Westberg to a new worldwide publishing deal and a year later Angry Mob entered into a co-publishing deal with Pure Pop Music’s management clients, writer/producer and house music duo Schmarx & Savvy. Additionally, Pure Pop Music manages LA based artists and songwriters Addie Hamilton and BAYWUD.
Conseil was born and raised in France and his first job in the music industry was in London. As an A&R manager for A&M records. Conseil’s very first signing was Austrian artist Falco who scored worldwide #1 hits with ‘Der Kommissar’ and ‘Rock Me Amadeus ‘. Conseil was interviewed for ARTE television ‘s documentary Falco: Too young to Die, now on Netflix.
